For the first time in its history, Akron East High School has won the City Series Football Championship for three consecutive years. This record has been achieved only twice in the history of the Akron Football City Series. East won the first of its city crowns on Thanksgiving Day in 1964, when it defeated North. East’s second and third City Series victories, in 1965 and 1966, were won by defeating Kenmore both years.
